Removal of Items from graves in
All Saints Churchyard
A number of graves have items not permitted under the Churchyard Regulations 2016, as amended in 2020. Items include
- Kerbs, railings, fencing or chippings installed since October 2016;
- Memorials in the shape of a specific object, such as a heart, boulder or open book
- Mementoes and objects such as statues, toys, wind chimes, windmills, photographs and candles
The Church Council is seeking permission to remove these items from the graves concerned.
If the Faculty is granted, items will be removed 6 weeks form the date it is granted. These items will be labelled and stored securely for a period of 6 months in the outbuilding in the churchyard. Anyone who wishes to collect items from their loved one’s graves will be able to contact the Church Warden, Jeremy Sly, to arrange collection.
