One God, Father Son and Holy Spirit.
- As a community of Christians in the Horsford Benefice we believe and trust in one God, Father Son and Holy Spirit. Belief in God as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, also known as the Trinity, is at the heart of our faith.
- We believe God is the creator of the universe, however it happened. It’s why caring for all creation is at the heart of our faith and life choices.
- We believe that Jesus is God’s Son. Jesus reveals to us the love and care of God the Father.
- We believe God is available to us through the Holy Spirit, within us, enabling us to learn and grow in wisdom.
Bible
- God has revealed himself through the Bible, where we can read and know more of God.
- God has revealed himself through the gift of his Son, Jesus Christ, who came on earth to share God’s story of love and care.
- God makes himself known personally to each believer through the work of the Holy Spirit.
- "God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die" (John Chapter 3 verse 16).
Invitation
- Being a Christian therefore means responding to Jesus' invitation to enjoy a relationship with God here on earth and for eternity.
- As we accept Jesus’ invitation to live in a relationship with him, we set our sights on God’s kingdom of justice and peace; our life journey becomes more meaningful and joyful, and the world a better place.
- As Christians we are not asked to ‘fully understand’ all of this, but we are asked whether we ‘believe’ and ‘trust’. This is called faith. Faith is a different sort of knowledge. It is the knowledge of being known and loved by God, and of loving Him in return.
Journey
- If you’re searching for faith and are looking for answers to the ‘big’ and ‘smaller’ questions in life, come and join us on a Sunday and journey along with us.
- If you’re looking for a place to be involved with a community inside and outside a church building, come along and journey with us.
A warm welcome awaits everyone.
